There's exciting and unexpected casting news from Disney. Emma Watson will play a princess. She's taking on the role of Belle in the live-action movie version of "Beauty and the Beast." Bill Condon will direct the film which is expected to start production later this year with a likely 2016 release. In other casting news, Kaya Scodelario ("The Maze Runner") is joining the cast of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5." Meanwhile, Lucasfilm's "Strange Magic" took a nosedive at the box office, "Frozen" is making a major appearance on Disney Cruise Line, more measles cases are being linked to Disneyland and ticket prices for Disney theme parks are going up (again).

"Star Wars," the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Disney Infinity 2.0, "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." Maelstrom, "Into the Woods," "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and a whole lot more. So, mix a martini, pour some wine, down a shot or two and join the party. Happy New Year!
